Buyer’s Guide

To help overseas retailers and buyers safely and easily begin business with Japanese manufacturers,
GJP supports the entire process from product discovery → inquiry → negotiation → ordering → shipping.

This guide explains how transactions typically progress.

1. About GJP

With these services, we help ensure a smooth and efficient business process.

2. How the Process Works (Step by Step)

Step 1: Search for Japanese Suppliers and Products

Browse through the list of manufacturers on the GJP website and select companies, product categories, or items that interest you.

Examples of categories:

  • Lifestyle Goods
  • Kitchenware
  • Stationery
  • Traditional Crafts
  • Baby & Kids
    and more.

Step 2: Contact GJP

Click the “Contact” button on the supplier page or reach us via the inquiry form.

Please include the following information where possible:

  • Products you are interested in
  • Approximate quantity or expected MOQ
  • Destination country
  • Any additional requests (OEM / ODM, customization, etc.)

Our team will review your message and reply within 1–3 business days.

Step 3: Coordination With the Manufacturer

Based on your inquiry, GJP will communicate with the manufacturer.
If both parties’ conditions align, we will proceed to business negotiations.

GJP supports the following:

  • Translating buyer requirements into clear English
  • Confirming details with manufacturers
  • Gathering additional information when needed
  • Obtaining quotations
  • Adjusting trade terms such as MOQ, pricing, and lead time

Step 4: Receive Quotation and Confirm Trade Terms

We will provide the manufacturer’s quotation and key trade conditions.

Typical items to review:

  • Product pricing (retail/wholesale)
  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
  • Payment method
  • Production or shipping lead time
  • Shipping and packaging requirements
  • OEM/ODM availability

If the terms are acceptable, the order process will begin.

Step 5: Place an Order

Once conditions are agreed upon, we will assist with the formal order process:

  • Issuing a purchase order
  • Processing payment
  • Checking stock or starting production

GJP will continue to support communication between both parties as needed.

Step 6: Shipping and Delivery

The manufacturer will package the products and arrange international shipping.

Important notes regarding shipment:

  • Shipping methods vary by company (EMS, FedEx, DHL, etc.)
  • International shipping costs are typically paid by the buyer
  • Lead times differ depending on product type and quantity

You will receive tracking information once the shipment is dispatched.
